Allwyn has appointed Naida Buljugic, formerly of Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries, to the newly created position of Global Chief People and Culture Officer.

Buljugic will be responsible for driving Allwyn’s people and culture strategy and leading all organizational and talent development initiatives. She takes on the role with immediate effect.

Buljugic joins Allwyn after more than five years as human resources manager at Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries.

Previously, she held various management positions in various departments at UniCredit. Buljugic also spent time at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

“I am very excited to begin this new chapter with Allwyn and to use the experience I gained at Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries to further advance our global human resources strategy,” said Buljugic.

“I have seen Allwyn grow and attract the best talent in the lottery and gaming sector. I look forward to supporting this talent to thrive and develop during this exciting phase of Allwyn’s journey.”

Robert Chvátal, CEO of Allwyn, added: “I am delighted to welcome Naida to Allwyn in this new role. She will be at the forefront of our growth and a positive partner for change in our markets.

“She has demonstrated excellent leadership qualities during her time at Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries, as well as in her previous roles at UniCredit and OSCE. This experience, coupled with her strong sense of Allwyn’s culture, made her the obvious choice to lead our people and culture strategy globally.

“I look forward to working with her as we continue to develop world-class talent in our markets for a world-leading lottery.”

Allwyn is expanding its leadership team ahead of the National Lottery license takeover

Allwyn has made a number of hires in recent months before it takes control of the UK National Lottery in February 2024.

The company received its fourth National Lottery license in September 2022, ending Camelot’s 28-year tenure. The company then acquired Camelot’s UK operations in November last year.

In July, Allwyn appointed former 888 director Andria Vidler as the new managing director of its UK business. Vidler succeeds Robert Chvátal, who has served as interim CEO of Allwyn UK since the departure of David Craven in January 2023.

Earlier this year, Chvátal was appointed interim CEO of Allwyn’s UK business. He took on the role after a stint as CEO of Allwyn Group.
