International Game Technology (IGT) has signed an extension of its long-term partnership with Loterie Nationale Belgium (LNB), the country’s national lottery.
The interim agreement has a maximum term of four years and covers LNB’s retail and online lottery offering.
IGT will continue to provide core system technology and related lottery products for lottery and lottery.
The extension agreement extends the partnership between IGT and LNB to more than 30 years.
“LNB has leveraged IGT’s technology and expertise to modernize our company and drive growth over the past 30 years,” said LNB Managing Director Jannie Haek.
“This expansion ensures players continue to receive the same high-quality experiences they enjoy at point of sale and when playing online.”
Jay Gendron, Chief Operating Officer of Global Lottery at IGT, added: “IGT has worked with LNB to stay ahead of ever-evolving lottery trends and innovations.
“IGT’s flexible core lottery and lottery systems support LNB’s retail, digital and omnichannel distribution. A variety of related components also support the lottery in its efforts to offer players responsible and exciting experiences.”
Potential global gaming and PlayDigital sales
Earlier this month, IGT said it was considering a number of “strategic alternatives” for its Global Gaming and PlayDigital segments.
IGT said its board is examining possible alternatives, which could include a sale, merger or spin-off of the two companies. The Group’s Board will also consider retaining and further investing in the segments.
IGT said the assessment of alternatives would aim to unlock the “full value” of its portfolio, but did not set a timeline for the review.
The group also said there was no guarantee that exploring strategic alternatives would result in a transaction.
